500 MBPS point to point

We have a 500 MBPS point to point that runs from our main office to our backup site. We have been struggling for a while now trying to figure out why we can only get 60 MBPS out of it. We have had Spectrum test the line several time and everytime they show it is running 500 MBPS.

We have forced the duplex on the firewall and nothing.

We have tested with 2 laptops and we get the same results using iperf.

We are looking for some ideas on where to go next.

Thanks!

Dave

  • Have you checked with your ISP to make sure they don't have any limitations in place? I know you said they show it at max, but they will not take into account any limiters in place between you and them.  They just test their core equipment.
