  • While Amodin is right, I have the observation, that everytime I install a completely new firewall to a new customer, within 1-2 minutes I have port-scanners hammering on the outside of the system.

    So I doubt, if obfuscation is really necessary.

  • With the amount of increased activity I've seen just on my end, the fact of how things are in the world, how ads are being used to penetrate systems because no one is really interested in ad-blocking on the firewall end and tell you to do it in the browser, etc., etc., etc...

    It's probably best to not advertise.  Even the bots on this forum are still trying.  It's rough enough with the amount we all have to do to keep our privacy.

    To the topic at hand, this could be a routing issue that has been duplicated somewhere and causing havoc with the VPN connection.
