Sophos UTM Firewalls

Anyone of you guys got any expecience with these firewalls? I kind of wounder about singlethreaded performace with IPS on. Especially on there own hardware like the SG 210 https://9apps.ooo/.

Its says IPS throughput 2 Gbps in the factsheet but that is probably with 1000 concurrent or something.

    Hello,
    good question... it's entirely possible that someone in the Sophos UTM community has experience with these devices.
    I achieve 500-700 MBit with the SG210 when downloading from the internet with activated IPS. This may present the IPS limitation.
    There's more possible going on in parallel, but I can't test that.

    10-20 active users can sometimes reach the 1GBit (ISP limit) while surfing/downloading.
