New Install -- Stuck at: Booting `18_5_1_326'....

Attempting to get UTM up and running at the house.  I used Rufus to write the UTM ISO to a thumb drive.  The install went fine until the reboot after the install.  The grub loader appears and shows the image and when it tries to boot into 18_5_1_326, it just freezes.

I've installed it twice and get the same effect.  I've also loaded pfsense in an attempt to see if it was hardware related.  It appears to be drivers but I'm not sure where that leaves me.

Anyone have any suggestions?

  • Are you using UEFI?  If so, disable it in the BIOS and use Legacy instead.  It will require you to reload most likely, but should fix your issue.

  • when converting boot in bios in Legacy mode it shows 'No bootable device found'.

I can connect with web gui through lan port, but the screen attached to the devcice is empty,  it just shows Booting 'sophos 18.5.2' on the top-left conrner of the balck screen with UEFI Boot
