Wired Clients on APX 120 + UTM 9 + POE Switch

I have 3 APX 120 that are linked to a UTM 9 (build 9.706-9).  One is the root node and is connected to the UTM through a switch.  The other 2 nodes are in a mesh with the first node.  All wireless clients are performing as expected.

The 2 non-root nodes are also connected to POE switches with the expectation that I will be able to connect wired clients to the other switch ports and thus use the corresponding APX 120 to communicate through the mesh back to the UTM.  This attempt is not working.

I think I am creating an architecture that is similar to "Ethernet 1" and "Ethernet 2" on the top diagram at the following URL:

Can you confirm that this architecture is expected to work?

  • Hi Joshua and welcome to the UTM Community!

This is working at one of our remote client sites although the wireless is managed from Central instead of by the UTM.  Have you gone back through the KB article and followed the steps scrupulously?

    Cheers - Bob
