Swap is constantly growing

mat NOWA

Software:  UTM9 32bit
Firmware version: 9.605-1
Hardware: Dell terminal 2core AMD 1,4ghz ; 2GB ram; 120gb SSD
Enabled services: Firewall;  Intrusion Prevention;  Web Filtering; Antivirus

Purpose: Im testing sophos firewall at home environment (1 user, typical internet usage)

Problem: Swap partition is growing and what worse never get lower - its usage is always up and up. After ONE day swap raised from 0% (after restart) to 14%.  Ram usage is between 65% to 77% max.  This happens every time/day. Something is wrong.

I've come across many abandoned threads with similar problem here (since 2013) even with much more ram and stronger machines and havent seen any solution. IS any solution?

    I run a cluster with 2 very different systems.

    1. old PC and 2. old Thinclient

    8 GB RAM at PC and 6 GB at Thinclient ... both 128 GB HDD

    Installed at different times. Therefore, PC has 4 GB Swap and ThinClient 2 GB.

    Same Version and same configuration currently. ... it's a cluster (active/standby).

    PC goes to 3 % Swap after many days and Thinclient reaches a maximum of 25% after 6 days swap usage - while system is in master role.

    No problems after many weeks.
