SOPHOS FIrewall on PC

Hello!

I have never worked with SOPHOS, but a client I consult with has one running on a PC.

My doubt is:
There they have two AD DS, which by default should be the DNS to be served by DHCP Server, but the technician there told me that SOPHOS determines that the primary DNS has to be the Firewall IP. So my question is:
Does this really proceed and is it in the documentation?
Is it a DNS based firewall like NXFilter?

Thanks!

  • Please try to specify a little more in detail what the product is your question is related to.

Sophos is the name of the company and there a lot of products. You posted in a forum for a product named UTM. This product doesn’t require that the DNS has to be the firewall IP.

    Best regards
