ActiveSync not working with Exchange 2013

Hello All,

I know there are several posts on this topic in the forums & knowledge base sections, but none of those posts have help solve my issue.

We recently migrated from Exchange 2010 to 2013, in preparation for our hybrid Office 365 migration.

After recreating our UTM WAFs following these guides:

https://sophserv.sophos.com/repo_kb/120454/file/Exchange%20WAF%20Guide%20-%20UTM%209.3%20-%20Nov%202015.pdf

https://networkguy.de/secure-exchange-webservices-with-sophos-utm-waf/

We are unable to connect to Outlook Mobile App.  All other Exchange/Outlook services work fine.  When attempting to connect Outlook Mobile App, I receive an "Account Blocked" message.

Log files show:

- url hardneing error: No signature found, URI: https://domain.com/Microsofr-Server-ActiveSync User=jsmith Type=Outlook

Other solutions I've tried that did not work:

- Adding/Removing "Skip Filter Rules"

- Tried all Reverse Authentications for ActiveSync.  Currently set to "none".

- Removing /microsoft-server-activesync URL from the Firewall Profiles & Exceptions Static URL Hardening list.

Currently, we have a DNAT workaround in-place to allow all https traffic through.

Before our migration to Exchange 2013, all Exchange/Outlook services worked fine.

Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks!

Todd

  • Currently experiencing the exact same issue since moving from TMG to Sophos XG for EAS traffic. only seems to affect the Outlook Phone app.

Will call support now to see what they advise seeing as the fixes you have tried have not worked. Thanks for posting this!
