How can we export one (or more) rules and import them into an other UTM?

We have had an issue with one of our clients (that has now appeared at all of our other clients that use Sophos SG UTMs.

We have been able to fix this issue (with the help of Sophos Support).

What we would like to do, is to export the relevant rules and import them on the other SG UTMs.

A similar thing to exporting a Windows Regsitry Key and then importing it.

Any ideas?

I guess that if it is not possible now, then we should submit this as an idea on the XG forums for later inclusion!

  • Hi Ron,

in your scenario there is no official way to export any configuration item.

    your Options:

    - you can try to create a template for your Rules via API

    - you can view your rules via confd-client (cc) and create a bash script to automaticaly create the needed rules.
