Context: Fully configured running utm vm under exsi with multiple interfaces (physical) being passed to the vm through vswitches. Each physical external interface is defined as a distinct vswitch.
Question: How does utm treat interface changes? Suppose the interface defined to wan is removed, changed in exsi. How will utm respond to this. What happens to the rules and definitions in utm which use an interface that no longer exists.
To improve system performance I'm thinking of trying pci-passthrough for the wan port interface. I need to leave the lan port interface as a vswitch because other vm's on the host still need to pass traffic to the internet/local lan.
