RED 50 and AP5

Did you put the red interface into the allowed list of the Global Wireless configuration?
Mind to run a tcpdump on the red interface (port 2712) to see whether the AP5 tries to connect to the ASG?

Hi,
yes i put it. i tried it for testing with our RED10, and it works fine. The configuration of the RED50 ist  the same as of the RED10.

On monday i will run a tcpdump.

Bjoern, if you have the RED in a Split mode, did you remember to add 1.2.3.4 to 'Split networks'?

That shouldn't be necessary when the ASG provides DHCP on the RED tunnel ...

And, what in Bjoern's posts above led you to understand that he's having the ASG provide DHCP?

When the ASG provides DHCP the ASG adds a vendor specific option that allows the AP to directly connect to the ASG without the need to go through 1.2.3.4. And the ASG IP should be in the network range as the redsX interface itself which is always appended to the split networks [:D]

And, what in Bjoern's posts above led you to understand that he's having the ASG provide 
DHCP?

I was just trying to clarify if this is the case or not to help tracking down the root cause of this issue.

Hi guys, same problem here -> AP5 won't show up.
- RED-Interface is in allowed WLAN-Interface List,
- Unified or Split-Tunnel (1.2.3.4) for RED50 doesn't change the behaviour.
1.2.3.4:2712 shows up as dropped packets in ASG Paketfilter  "in front of" RED50.
