Install Error

1GB may not be enough RAM if you have more than a few PCs.  Realtek NICs often have problems - invest in Intels.  Essential is the free, limited version for commercial use.  If this is for a home installation, after you apply the Home license you will be able to use all of the features with few limitations.

Thanx for the tip. But right off the bat I get an error on the installation. Goning to try another ISO. I downloaded the ssi-9.004-33.1 iso will try the asg-9.004-33.1.

Will also try another DVD drive if the install fails again. 

I get an error saying could not open RTC device. Will keep you posted

Yes, the ssi ISO is only for Astaro/Sophos hardware appliances.  You do need the asg version for an installation on your own hardware.  Is this a home-use or a commercial installation?

It's for my business. I want to see how the essential will work out before I go for the big package. But i'm almost sure it will work okay. it's max 6 users.
the  asg ISO worked like a charm. Now just to configure it
