Do you have still the same problem? If so, we need more information to reproduce your issue for example how was the system load and the maximum amount of data saved in the database etc.

Hi,

Yes, the problem is still there - it however depends on the amount of collected data.
At the moment it is still early in the day and digging in web usage is possible without timeout but it takes some time.
When I get into the afternoon I believe I will not be able to look into the results anymore again due to timeouts.
Looking into the past 7 days of web activity makes the appliance go non responsive, just as enough collected results for a day.

The amount of users is usually ~20


Tell me exactly what you need and I will find it for you, besides the screenshots provided here.

Try leaving top running at a command line - what process is choking the CPU?

Will try later on - but I am not sure it is just a CPU problem.

I could imagine this being caused by heavy swap as well.

Will post back later on tonight after a full day of data with the top.

Seems it is postgree..

however, the results from yesterday it can process without timeout - but if I select last 7 days ( which is just since last friday ) it goes non responsive.

And I got it provoked again by a simple sort on todays visited sites from one IP.

And with more data, just from today - same query "give me the visited domains for this IP"

Appliance is frosen and has been the past 5-10 minutes. 

normally I can just press reload and login again, but this this time so far..

after discussion with our developer regarding your issue with Web Security-Reporting, I have to say that this performance problem is already known. Such behavior could be expected by the old appliance specially by the  ASG220. You can´t avoid that and we unfortunately cannot fix it more.

How do you figure ?
My appliances is not even 1 year old and as far as I am concerned latest revision.

Scaling says these appliances should be able to handle 3 times the amount of daily users I have behind the firewall ( usually having 15-20 people in the office with this firewall ). No running IPS on it either, and its suppose to size / scale at 75 users giving it everything it got.

So please do explain.. there is in my world two options, either optimize the SQL queries against the postgree ( I bet if you analyze the SQL, it can usually be optimized ) and the other options is to allow us more memory in the appliances.

This is simply not good enough when paying that amount of money for full guard and appliance.
