[7.950][BUG][OPEN] Email blocked-pop3 proxy

Hi All

I have whitelisted a specific address (pic attached,however,email are still caught as spam  and I have to release them every time?(pic and log attached)

I thought the whitelist access takes priority against expressions

    Hi Wingman,
    from memory the individual user needs to add that address to their profile in the user portal.

    Within the pop3 proxy, there isn't a whitelist, there is an exception list where you add an address and what you want it not to be checked by.

    So please post a snapshot of the exception setting for the site in question.

    You are definitely having trouble with version numbers, 7.950 is the current beta version. Me, I have problem with the th ht in the.

    The accounts are in place in the portal it used to work before on 7.505 with no issues :S

    I think you have misunderstood me.

    The e-mail address you want to whiteliest has to be in the user portal. I can't test it at the moment because the site I had in the whitelist folded and went over to a private forum which doesn't need to be whitelisted.

    Hi Wingman,
    I didn't realise that was a the user portal listing until you pointed it out.

    I have to agree with you, based on that it is definitely a bug.

    Let us try from a different approach, where does the header of the message show it as originating from?

    I think there is enough headaches for a mail wizkid to review and pass judgment on.

    Today the email from amazon came in with no issues

    Hi wingman,

    you're right, the whitelisting should result in skipping the expression filter. However I was not able to reproduce your setup. With a whitelist entry configured in the user portal my expression filter is always skipped for the whitelisted sender addresses.

    You've reported that your emails from amazon now came in without being blocked. Can you please report back, whether there is still an issue? If yes, we could increase the loglevel of your POP3 proxy. This should reveal whether and why a spamcheck is being skipped or not. However this is a somewhat tricky task, which needs Shell Access for editing some files directly without using the WebAdmin...
