Schedule firmware updates time zone

reviewing the settings I noticed the AP firmware is scheduled to perform updates at 00:00 UTC, this happens to be 10am my local time (AEST).

It would be great if the administrator could select the timezone and a time for this update to occur, relying on the administrator to calculate the UTC for the local time offset or if left at default it is likely to cause issues with outages during the workday.

  • Hi,

you can already select the time an update happens. I created two issues to track the request:

    - Allowing to specify the time zone on firmware update side (tracked with CWIFI-3614)

    - Allowing to specify that the firmware update uses the AP's local time (tracked with CWIFI-3615).

I hope this covers your use case.

  • Hi Dirk,

Yes that sounds like it would cover the use cases that come to mind.
