Hello,
I recently purchased two pre-owned 320 APX APs for my home. Both APs boot into solid green, fast flash red, change to solid green, and then flash fast red again. They never become visible in UTM 9 and appear to be bricked. I've left them connected for hours, and this cycle never ends. Resetting has no affect, nor does rebooting during the solid green phase (I didn't boot in flashing red, as supposedly that's a firmware upgrade in progress).
Two questions, if anyone knows:
1) Is this what happens when they're bricked?
2) Where can I download the APX 320 firmware? I'd like to give the flashing tool a go.
Thanks in advance for anyone's assistance!
Jim
Hi!
I'm trying to recover an apx320 , 'm using the Sophos Flashing Tool and it recognise the ap for a fraction of a sec and after that the application crash ...I've tried with win11 win10 and app simulation of win7 , no changes . I was wondering where can I find APX.uimage to download ?
Have a look at the XG filesystem.
The image can be found here
/content/apfw_1.00/11.0.020/APX.uimage
That's perfect thanks! I was thinking to build up a linux tftf server with the 169.xx IP address and use it to pass the firmware in place of the Sophos tool
Check, if you can get any uBoot CLI from the console port.If you can´t enter uBoot CLI it´s difficult to break autoboot.
At a APX 120 you can use a NAND glitch, but the APX320 has the NAND under some covers. So i reflashed the uBoot and changed the bootdelay with incircuit programming.
Sadly the autobot is at zero, with the RS232 adapters I have I couldn't get into the CLI, it just says error cannot find kernel image and hangs there...
This is exactly the position I'm in. I suspect I'm going to need to return the AP to the eBay seller
That's what happened to me as well, and I returned mine to the eBay seller (babyers88) who graciously accepted the return.
I had two from eBay, one got stuck where you are and the other got stuck during tftp upload of the kernal image. I had to return them.
