So I take it XG105W customers are left in the dark with this upgrade, they are stuck with an inferior product that was replaced by one that actually can run the Sophos XG software.

Bitter about this as well. I literally purchased an XG105 rev 3 not even 6 months ago from one of Sophos main distributors to use as a demo unit. Guess I'm not going to be demoing V18 to any customers with it...great

Anyways ya I put 4GB in another XG105 and you cannot install v18 as the software checks the hardware model too.
