XGS SFP ports not working until you specify interface speed (1G or 10G XGS, v20)

Update to  LAG not working unless you specify interface speed

Using XGS4500 on 20.0.0 GA-Build22 with XSAZTCHF4 "Sophos FleXi Port Modul 4 port 10GbE SFP+"

LACP bonding was not working on PortsA1-A4 unless specifying 10G Interface Speed manually, disabling Auto negotiation. At some point I was able to get link established on PortA4 only bunt on any other port, regardless all 4 having the same settings.

This is probably known issue NC-94073

We've had that on XG with SFOS v18, 2 years ago. I wonder is this unfixed or is this something else?

I've seen the "recommended settings" link in the advanced config and it suggests the working settings.

  • I just needed to find out that this applies also for the onboard F1-F4 SFP Ports which are 1Gbit only. Using Sophos SFP FC module for 1:1 HA Link.
