Route all Netflix traffic through VPN

Hello,

Hoping I can get some help - tried searching but its still not 100% clear to me so hopefully someone can provide some insight.

LAN >
multiple ports , 1 feeding a linux box which has my server that handles things like plex etc
AP device > feeds my Nvidia Shield, and Firestick

Single Wan > directly out through to the internet shared by everyone

Right now I use a VPN application that needs to be run on each device if i want to connect to US netflix. This is my dedicated box located in Seattle within my home. It's a basic open VPN server not commercial-based based it really is just a home box in my wife's home hanging out for access usa netflix. I would selectively route traffic directly through Sophos XG (where i currently am) to utilize the VPN and the rest of the traffic to go through my regular WAN connection.

Is this possible?

  • Hello there,

Thank you for contacting the Sophos Community.

I am not sure if I understood your scenario/question, but if you want to connect to the box located in Seattle, you would need a site-to-site IPsec tunnel then using SD-WAN rules, you could tell the Sophos Firewall that any traffic going to the Netflix Website to send it via the IPsec tunnel (You will need to use xfrm interfaces)

However, I am not 100% certain that it might work.

    Regards,
