But this also blocks legitimate requests like winzip, 7-zip, *mov* etc.

And afaik it is not possible to block TLD's with XG.

There was another version using regex which might be more successful and not hit applications.

I did it via URL group.

community.sophos.com/.../block-tld-in-web-filtering

I tried it. When i test the policy, it shows that it is blocked.

I tried the url in the example.

But Even if the test policy show "blocked" , if i try to access the example site, the download keep starting.

Have you enabled the option, "Scan HTTP and decrypted HTTPS" under the web filtering in the firewall rule ?

No i didn't. If i do it, should i isntall some sophos certificate on all computer ?
