Sophos Home License - XGS

At home, I've a Sophos XGS 116 on which I'd like to install the Sophos Home License. I already wiped the SSD completely, but unfortunately I'm not able to install the Software Image on it. Every time when I try to boot from the USB-Stick, following Error Message appears:

-----
Detected Sophos XGS Physical Device.
Please get proper installation source.
timeout: can't execute '/bin/statusled-I2C': No such file or directory
press y to reboot
-----

Does anybody know how to Install the Home License on my XGS 116?

  • Whilst I did it with an XG135 and not an XGS, I had to use a very early version of SFOS (you don't mention what you've tried, v19 gave me the same error) - something like v17 I think is required and then update to the latest version once that's installed.

That was first flattening the disk and installing Centos on it, then booting off a USB stick with this early SFOS on.
