Telegram Messenger Not Connecting When Any Web Policy is Active

I'm needing to allow Telegram Messenger on the network but it refuses to connect whenever a web filtering policy is applied, even if it's just the default Allow All policy.

I don't see anything being blocked in the logs. I have tried switching between proxy and DPI. Any idea what else I can do?

  • Please allow it on Application filter and check application logs as well on log viewer

  • Even though I've allowed Telegram on the Application filter, it still refuses to connect. To be clear, the connection only works when I turn Web Filtering OFF completely. This leads me to believe it's a problem with the Web Filter and not the Application filter, however, even a fresh "Allow All" web policy doesn't work either. Does this make any sense?
