PIN is not required to start the device

I have recently installed Mobile Security. One of the advisory note is that 'A PIN is not required to start device'. I have encrypted my mobile, hence PIN is mandate for me to start the device. Not sure, how SOPHOS claims that 'PIN is not required'. I thought it is more secure to enable PIN for starting the device, isn't it ? Please help me to understand one of this advisory note.

  • Hi Ravi,

Of course, it is more secure to have a PIN  for starting the device. I believe the advisory is just a suggestion and not a recommendation. However, I will look into it, Please share the document that you were referring.

Also, what is the current version of Sophos mobile security.
