Can I control my mobile from Sophos Central or not?

Yes, you can manage Sophos Mobile from Central.

How?  My mobile says 'your company will send you an email...." but I'm not in a company.  I've failed to find anything on the Sophos website that will help me.

Thanks.  I can create a control account, but it's only a 30 day free trial. Do I have to pay to be able to control my mobile?

All I really need is to be able to send the equivalent of the SMS messages to locate/lock/etc my mobile from my desktop (as well as from another mobile) and receive the responses on my desktop.  I'm aware some other tools required mobile data to be on, rather than using SMS, to control them from a desktop.

The features mentioned are available from Sophos Central. And if you do not have the Sophos Central license for Mobile you would have to purchase the license. You can check the license status from:

1. Hover the mouse cursor over the user name at the right top corner beside Help and click on the drop down arrow

2. Select Licensing

3. Look for Mobile Security and Mobile Advanced

4. Confirm if it is a trial version or a licensed version.

It's a trial version.  My question was whether a free (limited) version was available.  From what you say there isn't.  It also seems that I have to call someone to find out how much it would cost.
