Discrepancy in licensing usage x devices x users protected

Hello, 
 
 We have a Client that has 1400 licenses for Intercept X Advanced, and is using 1284 . 
 What is not making sense is this:

We have 1442 active devices, not counting Servers. How can this be? I tried to make sense of this, but I wasn't able to understand how this licensing would work. I know for a fact that the license is counted by user, not by device. But we have on our Teamviewer 1584 devices registered, and we have triple checked and the number of devices is actually that. 
 Am I missing something here? The licensing count is kinda weird, and I'd like to understand it better and in turn keep our client satisfied. 
 Also, is there a way to check how many protected users are logged currently? The report generated by the central is kinda useless.

 Thanks for reaching out to the Sophos Community Forum. 
 So that I understand you correctly, are your concerns regarding the discrepancy between the number of devices TeamViewer is reporting vs the number of active devices in Sophos Central? Or are your concerns regarding the number of consumed licenses vs the active devices? 
 I'd suggest checking out the following Recommeded Read article explaining how to get an accurate representation of your license usage and where licenses are being consumed. This may provide you with some additional insight. - Identifying endpoint license usage

While we don't have a report built into Sophos Central, the script mentioned in the link I shared above bridges this gap.
