I cannot find any way to send a test mail from Sophos Central.
Hi Arris,
Thanks for reaching out to the Sophos Community Forum.
Could you elaborate if your question is related to the Sophos Central Email product, or if your question is regarding alerts/alert emails generated from Sophos Central?
Hello Qoosh, thank you for replying.
It is indeed the case for alerts and other informational type messages. We have a suspicion they are not arriving anymore. We can't find a way to send a test mail from the sophos central settings or alert config page. Is this feature available or should we wait for a alert to be generated automatically?
I suggest downloading PsTools. You can leave this in the .zip format and proceed to perform a right-click scan on the file. This will trigger a detection, followed by a manual cleanup notification and email.
Thank you we will give that a try.
Nothing happens, no detection is triggered. Could i have the wrong file version?
It looks like you have the folder highlighted in your screenshot here. Could you try doing the same to the .zip file?
If you have "PSTools" excluded in Sophos Central, this could also prevent the detection from occurring. The detection tab in the local Endpoint UI will also tell you if the file should have been detected/cleaned up, but is excluded/is on the allow list currently.
