Sophos Central is telling me we have a machine with Tamper Protection off but it can't show me which one and (click on device in the report and it show me a list of machines with any protection off but it's a list of zero machines. Click automatically fix all and it goes off and comes back and the compliance report still shows a device has it switched off!

Could you let me know if this is being shown under the "Account Health Check" tab, or is this being shown in a different report from Sophos Central?
If you're unable to find the device in question under the "Devices" page, I suggest ensuring that the "Recently online" dropdown is updated to show all devices. 
Let me know if the device in question is actively checking in to Sophos Central as well via the "Last active" time.
