Seeing this in the system tray typically has to do with a high system uptime where a number of Sophos Updates have occurred.
If the Sophos UI.exe process stops and is restarted, a new tray icon will be displayed for each time the process restarts. If there are issues with the Server in question, or if the Sophos UI component is repeatedly being installed/updated, this could be the culprit.
Let us know if you can elaborate on what sort of issues you're experiencing.

We are investigating this. I am routing this to the development team. Can you give me a screen of your installed versions from the Endpoint Self Help tool? Is it opening?
