Very angry clients

It is time to face reality. I have been a sandboxie user for many years because we all know how AV software is mostly useless junk. Since Sophos took over, there have been 2 sandboxie releases before this embarrassing disaster. Obviously Sophos could not care less about sandboxie. It looks like sandboxie sales have been running on auto. Then when this debacle (whatever it was) hit, they didn't even know how to restore the website. They have just been taking peoples money and let it run by itself. And all we get is some corporate crap response.

I am not sure what to turn to at this point. I may try the cracked sandboxie, but when Sophos finally drops sandboxie for good, that won't be an option either. If you still can I would suggest doing a charge back on your credit card. It is too late for me to do that so I will just have to write it off to experience.

I guess SB is dead. Face it.

There's still months to go before the end of December, if they intend to stop Sandboxie all together then they should remove the licensing and make it a free product. I paid a for four lifetime licenses and today I cannot use my browser because I get "Extended features are disabled".

So? Just read all the ridicules answers they post here. The product is dead, support is laughing at us. They don't have to do anything. Lifetime doesn't mean as long as you are alive, it's the products' lifetime.

Technically it's not dead, it still does its job, if they remove the license check it will still be usable, at least until the end of December.

In the meantime I'm looking for alternatives, I'm open for suggestions, PM me if you can help.

OK, if the semantics is so important, let me rephrase. Looks like the products' life cycle has ended. Installations "work" but try to install a new language for Office... The worst thing is, there are no alternatives. You can wait for new W10 update, the pro version suppose to feature a sandbox. You can try Shadow Defender or other fs light virtualization but it's not the same...

Actually, there's another sandbox for home users, SHADE Sandbox. It has no options whatsoever, you simply drag a icon of the program you want to isolate and that's it. Once done, the program will always run in a sandbox. Maybe it's worth trying.

I have tried it, and sadly it doesn't compare well IMO. But in the absence of anything else it is worth a go.

Has anyone tried AppGuard?

If Sophos ever gets a clue, maybe they will just open source sandboxie. But I am not sure they care enough even to do that. 

Wow I just took a look at Sophos stock price. Investors obviously gave up on the company a long time ago. They obviously have much bigger problems than sandboxie.
