Port forwarding

i am having trouble with setting up port forwarding for the game The Division, the ubisoft website says the following ports should be forwarded:

UDP: 33000 to 33499
TCP: 27015, 51000, 55000 to 55999, 56000 to 56999

the screenshot above are the rules i have setup, firstly are these correct? if they are the game will still not work.

I'm 99.999% sure its a firewall issue as the game worked before i stated to use the UTM as a gateway and was only using it for a proxy, i've checked the firewall log whilst trying the game and nothing is being blocked between my pc and the internet and the internet and my pc.

i've even tried allowing all ports through to my pc and that doesn't work. i have read the RULZ but as ive said the logs don't seem to point to anything and i think ive created the NAT correctly

Hi Chris,

firstly, you should change the source in your NAT rules from "Any" to "Internet IPv4"!

With Source Any, even your machine could get stuck with this NAT rule.

Otherwise your rules seem right. Automatic firewall-rule is activated and logging is too.

fellow division player here:

not using any other rule than "gaming pc" any -> "any ipv4 / internet ipv4", not doing anything with DNAT for Division.

tried your suggestion, i guessed that it was a firewall rule, that didn't work, one question, would any of my existing rules affect it in anyway?

Hey Chris Mottershead

It could be possible that you have an existing conflicting rule that is taking precedence.
Assuming that you have logging enabled for your firewall rules, what are you able to observe on the firewall livelog whilst playing your game?

Below is a screenshot of the firewall log whilst i am loading the game i get no further than the connection screen, it then throw up an error which when i look on ubisofts website is a 'connection issue' it ip of the wan port on the UTM is 192.168.0.2 and a few inbound connections to the wan port are blocked i know some are for a NAS on the network but not sure on others, there is a firewall rule to allow inbound traffic to the gaming pc and allowing all the outbound traffic from th epc to the internet as suggested above.

Are you also experiencing connection issues on your PC with other applications?
Your WAN port on the UTM is a private IP address, which may also indicate to me that your UTM is behind another gateway?

yes the wan port is behind a isp modem/router (needs to be used to avoid breaking terms and conditions) all ports are forwarded from the isp router/modem to UTM wan port.

all other apps are working as expected, if i replace the gateway with another router (ASUS AC68U) the game works fine which to me says its the UTM blocking the game i, it works even if the utm is acting as a proxy which narrows it down again to the fire wall.
