SSH user login, Add user to ssh PROBLESMS!

how do I allow user to use ssh, I setup a user, but I can't get them is login and the password is right, and ssh is turn on and any for allowed host, Help Me please, and thanks

Login with user "loginuser" and put ' su jason '

I too would like to create a new ssh user with a different home path. How?

To put it all together, when using SSH you have to login as 'loginuser' and then supply the loginuser password.

Then you can 'su - root' and enter the root password.

At least that's the way it's worked before.

That's the way it works now. I was just hoping that someone could help out with a way to add an SSH allowed user and change their home directory.

I havn't tried v5 yet, but the in earlier versions you had to manually edit the passwd and shadow files in /etc/
