sophos central rules

i am migrating from sophos EC to sophos central using the migration tool.

so far i am able to migrate most of the clients over to the central version.

one question, how do i migrate the existing rules and configurations i have in EC over to the sophos central ?

i dont want to re-create all the rules and confugrations.

eg, those settings in Anti-virus and HIPS

Hello yeowkm,

I'm not aware that something like this exists.
For one thing - you can't even export/import most of the settings SEC to SEC. Then, Central has slightly different available (mostly less granular) settings. Scanning Exclusions (please note that there are predefined exclusions for Server Protection) would be candidates, but while you can export them from SEC there's AFAIK no import on Central.

looks like i need to re-create all the rules again.

eg those exclusion etc ....

Hi yeowkm,

When migrating computers from on-premise management to Sophos Central the existing policy configuration will not be migrated and the policies configured in Sophos Central will be applied. Refer the KBA on Sophos Centra Mirgation -policy for more details.
