Hallo zusammen,

wir setzen bereits die Sophos Endpoint Protection ein und möchten uns erkundigen ob für die neuen geplanten Anforderungen andere Sophos Produkte unterstützen können.

Hauptsächlich haben wir 3 Punkte die uns beschäftigen:

1. Administratoren dürfen Projektbezogene Dateien auf den Netzwerkfreigaben nicht einsehen

2. Einführung von 2FA

3. Protokollierung von von Dateien auf die Benutzer und Administratoren zugegriffen haben

4. Log-Dateien von Tätigkeiten des Administrators an einem Speicherort, die nicht von ihm manipuliert werden können.

 

Zu 1. könnte die Sophos SafeGuard Ecryption eine Lösung sein.

Gundsätzlich sind unsere Systeme bereits mittels Bitlocker verschlüsselt, lediglich fehlt mir die richtige Methode wie ich mit einfachen mitteln Administratoren eingrenzen kann. Derzeit kann ein Administrator alle Dateien und Verzeichnisse auf Netzwerkfreigaben einsehen.

Bietet die SafeGuard Ecryption für unseren Fall eine Lösung?

    Hi Toruk Makto,

    Sophos Safeguard Encryption is a product which provides a feature like full disk encryption, synchronized encryption and location-based encryption. Please refer this article​ for release notes of the latest version of Safeguard and for more information regarding the features, please contact your reseller or partner from whom you have purchased another Sophos product.

    Under Location-based encryption, it has the capability to encrypt the file on the network share. Encrypted files can be accessed by the user which has the key through which that document is encrypted, apart from that user or group of users can't access those files.

    Safeguard has token and smart card-based authentication if you want to implement for a safer way to authenticate clients. For that supported middleware, tokens and smart cards refer to this article​.

    Safeguard has very limited reporting currently. Please refer this article​ to know about reporting.

    Thanks for your quick feedback.

    I've contacted our Sophos partner, your description gives us hope that we can meet our requirements with the Sophos software.
