Legacy USB support

How do we enable the Legacy USB Support?  We have a workstation that got shutdown improperly and now it has the Windows repair on bootup.  The keyboard does not function to allow me to select boot up Windows normally.  I tried to hit SHIFT-F3 but it does not enable the Legacy USB support.  We have Sophos Safeguard 7.0.  Any help is greatly appreciated.  I really don't want to reimage a PC each time because of this.

  • Hi - although this was/is a Sophos SafeGuard setting, it can also be one particular to the PC. In the BIOS you may see it in Advanced (like below) but it differs in every BIOS and version.

You may see it as simply USB Keyboard support too - again PC dependant!

I know it's not a good solution but I always have a PS2 keyboard to hand when USB goes wrong as it sometimes can - especially at or before POST. Of course not many PC's have PS2 sockets now though... :(
