  • Good morning Simone,

You enable SNMP via the tab found at Configuration>System>Alerts & Monitoring

The MIB can be downloaded by pressing the download MIB button on the same page.

Please note that some functions/sensors may not be supported.

The ESA help file can be found here:

    http://esa.sophos.com/ug/pdf/sea_ug.pdf

The section on SNMP can be found on page 164.

    Regards,

    Neil.

  • Hi Neil,

I tried to enable SNMP Monitoring with Community String "public" and for Network I tried different values (Subnet 10.106.166.0/24), (Net address 10.106.166.0) or (IP Address 10.106.166.103) of the connecting Client. For testing I used Peassler SNMP Tester.

The SEA seems not to open Port 161 for SNMP Connection. I'm able to ping the SEA and I tried to connect via Telnet without susses .

Do you have an advice for me?

    thx and regards

    Björn
