I need to temporarily stop SOPHOS - how do I do it? Can someone get back to me PLEASE?

I have SOPHOS Endpoint installed - user name sbe01167127 - malcolm wass

I need to temporarily stop SOPHOS - it keeps deleting a software programme that I am trying to install

Can someone get back to me to talk me through the process please?

  • Malcom, what you are seeking to do is accomplished through the Sophos Central portal. Go to "My Products" -> "Endpoint" -> "Settings" -> " Allowed Applications". In this section, you will need to add the type of application by name with extenstion. eg. "nosomos.exe" as opposed to "nosomos". Under the column for 'Allowed By' you will need to provide the UNC path to the executable.

    Not needed but nice to add in the comments section is why the exception is allowed so those after you will understand why and not remove the rule.
