Machines in Unassigned and not in their AD sync folder (VDI)

 Hi,

Hoping the forums could be some use as it turns out Sophos never reply to your support questions (nice)

We are running SEC 5.3.1

Abit of background because its probably quite useful, not long ago we installed some VDI Infrastructure running Horizon View, we are using the Sophos vShield product however due to the fact that it cannot do application monitoring like the traditional Endpoint software we decided to go down the difficult route of running the endpoint software on non persistent VDIs.

When updating a VM for deployment, we run a script which stops certain services and deletes a couple of registry keys AS WELL as deleting the machine_ID.txt file from AutoUpdate.

Within SEC I have created a new Active Directory Sync folder to the OU where the VDIs exist.

However the machines in the AD Sync remain greyed out like they are not managed but sometimes turn up in Unassigned as actively managed endpoints, I've read a few threads on here about deleting it out of the database and such but none of them seem to work for me. Please help.
