All DC's reporting same error (ID 769 SAVOnAccess)

Question

Hi all, 
 We have 4 DC's in our environment and they are all reporting Event ID 769 every 2 mins or so: 
 "The on-access driver could not check device control for volume \Device\CdRom0" 
 All are VM's if that helps.

Hello AdamHarrison, 
 so you are using Device Control on your VMs (may I ask why and with what settings)? Could be a driver conflict . Dunno if a debug trace would give insight. What's the host for these VMs?

Hi QC, 
 
I added a new Device Control policy and attached the DC's to it, and the error has not appeared since! I agree that being VM's they do not require device control to be enabled.
