  • Hello Georgi Mogilkov,

SEC 5.5.1 manages the endpoints the same way as the previous versions do. It doesn't care about the Windows version on an endpoint.
You have an XP Extended Support license?

  • Thanks for the answer. I just have one more question. Sophos anti-virus version on windows xp is 10.8.1 and on Windows 10 is 10.8.2 so there is not going to be a problem to control those devices. No we don't have XP Extended Support license because we only have few devices with Windows XP. That's why we want to update to the latest version of SEC and still be able to control the XP devices.

  • Hello Georgi Mogilkov,

version on windows xp is 10.8.1
don't they show updating errors? Or do they update them from the Previous Recommended subscription?

As far as management is concerned SEC ignores the Windows version - AFAIK when SEC sends a policy to endpoints it doesn't "adapt" the contents to the target system (e.g. an AV policy contains all exclusions, those for Windows, MacOS, and Linux), it's the endpoint that interprets and applies the policy as relevant.
