  • After running into this error there is only "Sophos Management Server" installed.

There is no registry key for the SUM I can modify.

Just for testing. Using a local account worked. But for policy reason I need to use a domain account.

    Regards,

    Ingo

  • I’’’’ve drawn a bit of a blank on this one.  It’’’’s a peculiar error and seems (from discussion with development) to be environmental hence we haven’’’’t had the problem before.

A local account does work so that is at least a temporary solution.  If you must have a domain account then the next step is to raise a support ticket.

  • Hello,

I had the same error. The reason was NON-ASCII chars in the passwords of the domain accounts

Changing the passwords of the domain accounts to ASCII-only solved it for me.

There are quite a few logs on this thread mentioning a various errors.  Which error did you get and where did you get it?

If you can let me know how the problem appeared to you and the path of troubleshooting that lead to finally changing password charactors we can add this to our knowledgebase.

  • Dear all,

Did any1 have received the solution on domain validation issue , i have too installed with local user it worked.

But what changes we need to do while using domain credentials for SUM.
