Hi All,
Recently some of our laptops got the issue with wifi, which is not connecting to internet also not taking IP address.
after disabling Sophos network threat protection, it started working normally, wifi connected.
we have reported to Sophos and is under investigation.
Did anyone have the same issue? what is the reason.?

currently we just turnoff network protection on those affected laptops. Does it will affect to any security issue.

Should only need to disable IPS. I have added a post to the page detailing what you can do as a user or Central admin.
