Sophos Intercept X

Hello All


We are utilizing Sophos Central with intercept x for our Estate. This estate is approximately 7000 machines, we appear to be getting lots of issues where machines are failing to update. So they end up in the medium alert category and require our intervention to fix said issue.  Do you know is there anyway of fixing these problems via the console or is this sadly always going to manual intervention.

  • How are you deploying IX? At what point are you receiving the failed messages?

    Thank you for replying, we have already completed the rollout some time back, what we have noticed is when some Endpoints require an update they seem to fail to update properly. Which is strange as most devices are online and available when these updates are initiated. 

  • Can we see an install log for each of these components.

    As AutoUpdate is attempting the install, they should be under:

    \windows\temp\

    E.g.

    For SSE64:

    • Sophos Standalone Engine Install Log 20210527 095359.txt
    • Sophos Standalone Engine Validator Log 20210527 095359.txt

    For HMPA64:

    Could be:

    • Sophos HitmanPro Alert Supplement install log 20210417T221107

    If you sort my modified date it should be obvious the logs of relevance.
