It had to fail.
Download the EndPoint client install. Started it and got this on the Sophos Central WEB console:
Download of WindowsCloudNextGen failed from server http:∕∕dci.sophosupd.com∕update
And locally while trying to install:
Any idea ?
I have created a temporary any-any-any rule so that the firewall could not be an issue. On the firewall logs everything seems clean.
On that desktop, in "Program and features" nothing named "Sophos" is installed.
Ok. Just tested it on another computer. It behaves the same.
Borked installer as usual.
Can you please share your license number with me in a private message? I'd like to check if there are any errors on that front.

Just had a phone call from Sophos. Trial Username is expired.
The obvious logic would have been the installer OR Sophos Central tells even before I downloaded the installer. I toasted a day for this.
You should be able to see the status of your license in the licensing tab. Also, you should be able to see the banner if any of your evaluation licenses have expired as shown in this KBA: https://community.sophos.com/kb/en-us/133223
I do not have such menu in Sophos Central. It just does not exist.
Under Licensing Tab is it showing evaluation license expired for you?
There is no licence tab at all ...
On the top right corner under your name, you will find a licensing tab with the details. Below screenshot for your reference.
