In order for the terminal command to work, Terminal itself requires full-disk access.

thanks for your reply. Not sure, what Central (The Sophos Anti-Virus app?) and SDU means?

I'm using version 9.10.0 of Sophos Anti-Virus (German version).

Hello Daniel,

if neither Central nor SDU rings a bell and you are running 9.10.0 you've likely got Sophos from your employer or school/university, haven't you?
9.10.0 is the on-premise managed version, a preview version (9.10.1) is now available, whoever administers "your" Sophos server has to make it available.

that's correct, it's provided by the university, but MacOS has only very limited support...

So, the 9.10.1 version will solve the issue? I'll ask our IT to make this version available.

Hi Daniel, Christian is right - 9.10.0 does not support Big Sur.

9.10.1 is in Preview and that has better support. It is still Preview so there may be some issues that we can support in this forum.

Hello David Lancaster,

noticed the preview just the other day. We have only a few macOS endpoints (out of 5000 or so) , all have updated to 9.10.1, some endpoints that had been updated to Big Sur before are eventually running SAV without any issues so far.
