Hello, I've downloaded and run the free version of Sophos anti virus a couple of times now and I keep running into the same problem.....at some point the scan appears to 'hang' and scan the same files over and over. The progress bar doesnt move. I also noticed that msmpeng.exe appears to be accessing the hard drive along with sophos tool during the scan which I find curious as I have turned off windows defender. I have no other apps running and I've disabled avast and malwarebytes during the scan. Never used to have this problem. Any ideas what's going on? Thanks in advance for any advice
