My first scan revealed threat Troj/Mdrop-FOR which is now in quarantine. What do i do now? I can't find any obvious way of removing it completely.

If clean up fails it's probably in a location that Sophos can read from (to detect the threat), but Sophos doesn't have write access to. Check the path to see where it goes.
