how to manually remove "PUA (i have no idea what that means) detected 'Spigot toolbar'" on my wife's windows10 pc?

i get an alert on my wife's pc - see subject above.

i am a computer user, 35 years, loved my Commodor 64, not a tech person so if the instructions are to techie i will wait until her pc has to be seen by a local tech.

it has windows 10 in portuguese installed of which i know little and us trying together to correct her pc must be hilarious to observe.

thanks for your interest

  • Hi David.

You can remove this toolbar by going to control panel > programs and features. From there locate the toolbar

and remove it. I would also recommend going into your web browsers and checking for any extensions, addons, search engines that may have been added.

Latest versions of Windows 10 can make the control panel difficult to find. Just search for it using the windows key and S. then type in control panel.
