  • Thanks Daniel, our 9.5.3 release should fix this issue and it is rolling out now. By October 26th you should have it.

    Regards,

    Bob

  • OK thanks. I will come back to you as soon as the update is pushed to the client.

Do we need to update the sophos ec in order to get 9.5.3. Or is the client also pushed out with the most recent version?

  • Any other updates with this wonderful software? Is this still available in the home edition or is it only the cloud version?

    I have Sophos Anti-Virus Home Edition v 9.5.3.

    Threat detection engine: 3.65.2

    Threat data: 5.33

Thank you, and your time is very much appreciated!

  •

    9.5.4 coming this week!

    Regards,

    Bob

  • Thanks Bianson!

Will it update automatically, or will we have to install in manually?

  •

    It will update automatically.

    Regards,

    Bob

  • That's Great! Thank you again!

  • Hello,

the problems described seem similar to mine but not identical.

I have a MacBook Pro (early 2015) running OS X 10.11.6 and SAV 1.2.2 for Mac (which I have not seen mentioned anywhere in seemingly relevant posts).

All plain sailing so far, but as of this morning it started showing a greyed shield, if I ask it to "Update now" the "Sophos AutoUpdate Error - Sophos AutoUpdate server cannot update at this time" comes up, but in the meantime the black arrow continues to descend in the shield (as if it were working and downloading).

The Sophos Home window on the laptop says that the laptop is secure and that all protections are on, but if I go to the online Home Dashboard it says that my Mac is not secure despite the fact that under 'configure' all the protections are ON.

The only 'strange' thing I do from time to time is turning SAV off when I do my backups (a few minutes at the time), and then turning it on again immediately. This has not caused problems in the past.

Are others experiencing the same problem? Will the update coming this week fix this problem, and will it update automatically from the version I currently have? Is there anything I could or should do or should I just wait and see if the problem is fixed by the update?

    Thanks

    Demi
