Where to get username and password fro Free AV Linux

I have successfully downloaded Sophos Freee AV for Linux. However, when I attempt to install and select 'free' and update from Sophos, I get asked for a username & password credentials.

Some reports suggest that I should not be asked for this information other documentation suggests that I obtain this information from the provided license.

I have never received an email with a license and there are no licenses listed in my Sophos account when I login.

Where can I obtain the required username and password, to allow updates?

When you select Free during the installation, credentials are automatically fetched. you shouldn't be asked for any.

Please could you copy the output from the installer into this questions so we can see what happened?

Where are the credentials fetched from? Could a firewall affect this process?

The credentials are fetched from https://amicreds.sophosupd.com/freelinux/creds.dat

If that's blocked by a firewall then it's likely that updating will also not work.
