Threat data is not updating correctly! And what is the current version?

Where can I find the current version number and release date of the threat data files?

I was wondering that there has benn no update of the threat date for weeks, but then I have found the following prob:

As per log the apps updater finds the following:

com.sophos.intercheck: Sophos Anti-Virus
com.sophos.intercheck: Version 5.08, 11 November 2014
com.sophos.intercheck: 8095299 Threats

But "About Sophos Anti-Virus" still shows "v5.07" with "7921462 threats" and the "Sophos Auto-Update Status" tells me that everything is up-to-date...

Any idea what the prob is? Thanks

Sounds like SAV is up to date but the user interface doesn't know it is.  I can re-create this by having the 'About Sophos Anti-Virus' dialog open during an update.  The window's value for the threat protection count doesn't change after the update and so the log shows a higher value than it.  Example:

    2014-11-25_09-54-45.png

I'd suggest closing - or even quitting - the application, and re-opening it.  Maybe a restart of the Mac.
